Project Description:

Triplett-King was selected by the SCDOT to perform the bridge design for the replacements of SC 295 Bridge over Fairforest Creek and SC 295 Bridge over CSX Railroad. This design project also included a bridge type study for the CSX Railroad site; this study revealed that it was more economical to replace the existing 3 span bridge with a single span, structural steel girder-bridge supported on high wall abutments as opposed to widening the existing bridge. A bridge inspection and rating was also performed. At the Fairforest Creek site, Triplett-King & Associates designed a new 3 span, 140 long, prestressed concrete beam bridge supported on pile foundations. This project is on an accelerated schedule.
