Project Description:
Triplett-King performed design and detailing of plans for a 384 ft., 4-span, continuous, staged, structural steel-bridge supported on drilled shafts and spread footing foundations. The project letting date was accelerated due to project funding. The plans were partially assembled by an in-house Bridge Design Squad, and were required to be completed during construction.
Triplett-King prepared the plans as the contractor, United Contractors, began construction. The preparation of the plans was coordinated with SCDOT Bridge Design personnel to ensure the plans were developed with the intent and in accordance with standard SCDOT design procedures.
