Project Description:
Triplett-King was selected by the SCDOT to perform the bridge design for the replacement of the US 21 bridge over the Catawba River in York County. Triplett-King is managing all sub consultants for bridge hydrology/hydraulic design, roadway design, environmental documents and permitting, geotechnical exploration, and utility coordination. The project is currently being designed with an upstream alignment for the new bridge. The new bridge will consist of eight (8) spans of 125 feet each for a total bridge length of 1,000 feet. The new bridge will utilize pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee beams in replacement of the existing structural steel bridge.
