Hydra Platform HPT Inspection Rig
Triplett-King’s bridge inspection forces are equipped with a highly mobile truck-mounted, under bridge inspection rig. This model HPT 60, manufactured by Hydra Platform, features a 60 ft. long platform with a 1,400 lb capacity, 180 degree rotation and voice activated communication, all mounted on a Chevrolet C 8500 series truck. This vehicle only requires one lane for operation and will reach under most bridge decks up to 24 feet below the deck and is one of a kind in South Carolina. This vehicle was instrumental in the final stages of the construction of the SC 170 Bridge over Broad and Chechessee Rivers, as part of the $104 million, design-build bridge replacement and roadway widening project in Beaufort County. This equipment assists inspection crews for large bridge structures over water, bridges with little access and high level structures, while very mobile and efficient. The hydra platform rig is currently idle and available immediately. This rig can be utilized for NBIS Inspection or Construction Engineering & Inspection projects.
