Rock Hill– Triplett-King is pleased to announce that Ms. Heidi Gremillion, a former part-time employee, has recently joined Triplett-King full-time.

Heidi graduated from Winthrop Unversity, in December 2007, with a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She has been wtih Triplett-King over the past 3 years serving as the Administrative Assistant/Marketing Intern. She now will serve as the Marketing & Administrative Assistant.

Rock Hill– Triplett-King sponsored the 7th Annual Winthrop Baseball Golf Tournament. Merritt King, Russ Carroll, Christel Allen and Heidi Gremillion of TKA all took part in the event on October 15th, 2007 at Waterford Golf Club in Rock Hill.

Rock Hill– Triplett-King & Associates, Inc., a consulting engineering firm (www.triplettking.com), today announced the celebration of 10 years in business.

Since 1997, Triplett-King has evolved from a local engineering firm, offering structural engineering, to a thriving business offering comprehensive engineering services including: highway and railroad bridge design, roadway design, construction inspection, material testing, design-build and value-engineering, intelligent transportation systems inspection and maintenance, utility coordination, and structural engineering services.

“What started out 10 years ago in a one man office out of United Contractors, Inc. in Chester, SC has steadily grown into a business far exceeding our expectations,” said Merritt King, P.E., co-founder and President. “We are all very proud of this accomplishment and grateful to our clients, contractors, and employees who helped us get here.”

Triplett-King & Associates was founded in July 1997 by entrepreneur, Jim Triplett, P.E. and Merritt King, P.E. Both founders brought their own unique talent to the table: Jim Triplett brought his bridge construction, value-engineering and design-build innovative ideas and Merritt King provided bridge engineering, sales and marketing savvy.

Since its founding, Triplett-King’s staff has grown to 40 employees with offices in Rock Hill, Columbia, Aiken, and Charleston and has successfully completed over 250 transportation design and inspection projects just in the last ten years. Triplett-King has contracted with and performed work for South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Georgia Department of Transportation (GaDOT), Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), local municipalities, and private clients including developers, contractors, and other engineering firms. Triplett-King specializes in design of fast track, design-build and cost saving solutions to bridge projects throughout the Southeast.

THE SCDOT HAS ENTERED INTO A DESIGN-BUILD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH UNITED CONTRACTORS, INC. (TEAM UNITED) FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE PALMETTO PARKWAY PHASE II PROJECT. TKA WILL ASSIST UCI IN MANAGING THE OVERALL PROJECT WITH A FOCUS ON PRE-DESIGN, DESIGN, AND PRE-CONSTRUCITON ACTIVITIES, AS WELL AS ON-GOING PUBLIC/MEDIA RELATIONS AND PROJECT PERFORMANCE MONITORING FOR THE PALMETTO PARKWAY-PHASE II PROJECT.
