Triplett-King was recently awarded an Engineering Excellence Award for the 2010 ACEC-SC Engineering Excellence Awards. The I-520 Palmetto Parkway, Phase II Project located in Aiken, SC was scored in the top 3 of all the projects submitted and recognized as an Honor recipient in the transportation division of the awards. The project also was sent on to the national ACEC-SC awards for placing so high. Triplett-King was also awarded the Small Firm Award, which is given for the highest rated project submitted by a small firm as defined as a firm with less than 30 employees.

Mr. Adam Lansing has recently passed the P.E. exam in South Carolina. Mr. Lansing joined Triplett-King in 2006 and has served as a bridge designer until his recent promotion to a Project Engineer.

Triplett-King’s has opened an Environmental Division, based out of Charleston, SC. Our experience includes all aspects of manufacturing and land development engineering. Areas of expertise include public water distribution, waste water management, storm water management, and sedimentation and erosion control. Triplett-King is also skilled in the areas of permitting with the Army Corp of Engineers, CAMA, and the North and South Carolina Departments of Environment, Health, and Natural Resources.

Mr. Brent Bearden, an Inspector with Triplett-King, recently accompanied his wife Mrs. Rebecca Bearden to the Mrs. South Carolina Pageant last weekend in Columbia, SC. Rebecca, Mrs. Lake Murray 2009, was competing for the crown of Mrs. South Carolina and won the pageant. She will now go on to compete in the Mrs. America Pageant. We congratulate Brent, Rebecca and their family in this high achievement and wish her the best of luck.

Mr. John Acker has recently passed his P.E. exam. Mr. Acker joined Triplett-King in 2005 after graduating college. He has recently gotten married and has been a vital asset to our companies growth. We congratulate him for his success!

Rob McKay Golf Tournament Update
The golf tournament was a huge success thanks to all of the gracious sponsors and friends and family of Mr. Rob McKay. Donations exceeded our goal for Rob McKay to aid in his battle against ALS. He is scheduled to go to Germany for treatment in July with hopes that he can beat the disease. Him and his family are in our prayers and we are so privileged to be able to help him in this time. Thank you so much to all of our sponsors and donations. Without you this could not have been possible.

Rob McKay Golf Tournament
We are proud to hold the Rob McKay Golf Tournament which will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m at the Chester Golf Club, South Carolina. All of this Tournament’s proceeds will go to Rob McKay’s medical bills due to his fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Rock Hill– Triplett-King is pleased to announce that Ms. Heidi Gremillion, a former part-time employee, has recently joined Triplett-King full-time.
Heidi graduated from Winthrop Unversity, in December 2007, with a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She has been with Triplett-King over the past 3 years serving as the Administrative Assistant/Marketing Intern. She now will serve as the Marketing & Administrative Assistant.

Rock Hill– Triplett-King sponsored the 7th Annual Winthrop Baseball Golf Tournament. Merritt King, Russ Carroll, Christel Allen and Heidi Gremillion of TKA all took part in the event on October 15th, 2007 at Waterford Golf Club in Rock Hill.

Triplett-King & Associates was founded in July 1997 by entrepreneur, Jim Triplett, P.E. and Merritt King, P.E.
